Taqasim Oud Club
Taqasim Oud Club is a project that falls under the umbrella of the Taqasim Music School. It is formed by the students for the students and is led by the students of Taqasim Music School with the help of its teachers.
The aims of the club are to create an informal setting where former and current students of the school can meet to enjoy playing the Oud and learn from one another. It is a space where students of all levels are encouraged to reach their full potential.
The club aims to run monthly practice sessions and will be a hub for discussion and dialogue between musical cultures. The Oud and the maqam system will be preserved beyond the classroom.

Activities
Oud Club activities include:
1) Running practice sessions that cater for all playing abilities
2) Creating a database for all Oud players
3) Inviting Taqasim Music School teachers to run question and answer sessions
4) Organizing an annual event where students from the school can perform.
